The Unfortunate Deaths of Romeo and Juliet By Marisol Luna

"A Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers Take Their Life"
These two lovers were young little people. Juliet was just 12 and was basically being sold in an auction to help her parents when Paris, a very wealthy man was ready to buy her. When romeo set his eyes on her. romeo had brought enough money. but apparently not all that much because in the end Paris bought her, seeming to be more wealthy. To this Juliet's parents were very happy and were expecting her to marry him in order to get out of depts from which they were in. So they stayed in the Verona hall till midnight and through that time Romeo got to speak to Juliet for little while. He and Juliet fell in love and they both knew they couldn't be together. Romeo and Juliet enjoyed there time together and were caught by Paris himself. Romeo was banned from ever getting near Juliet. Juliet and Romeo thought that if they got married before she had to get married with Paris no one can try to separate them. Then so they got married. Unfortunately they didn't tell anyone and thought the only way they can be together was to fake their deaths . Although they both knew what they wanted to do, although one of the vials had been mistaken for the sleeping potion one of them died. With this Juliet decided to end her life as well and they both layed next to each other.

Romeo Himself-
Romeo was born into the Montague family. He was approximately 17, and was living life near the Verona hall. Family said that hey saw him there more often than he was at home. His friends and family described him as a very cheerful caring person. Who also knew how to put a smile on peoples faces. Family also said that when him and his friends teamed up they'd fool around so much and get themselves in lots of trouble. Also that he was very responsible for his actions. "He also cared for his friends a lot and they were sometimes inseparable.." said one of the family members.

Juliet Herself-
Juliet was a Capulet and her parents were very strict with her. She hardly came out and was basically forbidden to speak to people she didn't know. She was very interested in the world and how it worked. Her nanny said she was very light spirited. Although she was just 12 she was to be married to Paris. Paris on the other hand thought that she was the most prettiest girl hes ever met and wanted her for his wife. Her mother seemed very greived to have lost her, since she was their only daughter.

My View on Euthanasia

From what I've read and my personal opinion I am against Euthanasia. What people are doing isn't right. Everyone has a choice and to just decide someones fate is irrational. I have a conviction that people should live no matter what has happened or did happen. It is no ones decision to abolish someone elses life. Now there is a differense between defending yourself and another to be killing people just because your upset or seek revenge. It is concievable that a police officer would shoot back at a criminal if they are shooting or are a danger to anyone. Then there are belligerents that just like to hurt people and that is not fair thats when police men have to take charge. Some people don't have a better judgement and do thinks without knowing that what they are doing is a bad thing like Lennie.

"Mercy" Killing

1. Reflecting on Of Mice and Men

a. : George got caught with justice and being a friend. In my opinion he didn't want to kill Lennie but what he did was wrong but also knew he was better off being killed by him and with less pain than he would have had with Curley. George knew that Curley would have made Lennie suffer until he begged for death or just killed him.Also George knew that if he went to jail all those mean guys would have bullied him and beaten him up.

b. : Lennie was not to blame for his actions but what he did was wrong. He killed another person and even though he is a handicapped person that was wrong. George knew it wasn't his fault but didn't want Lennie to suffer and knew that this couldn't go on any longer. So yes I say it was the best thing for Lennie.

2. Father in Italy accused of Murder

a. : "Late last year, 67-year-old Beppino Englaro, won an intense 10-year legal battle to allow his daughter's feeding tubes to be removed, saying that was her wish." In my opinion the father only wanted to make the daughters last wish come true. I guess to make her feel better or to just be able to make her happy in those last moments. Some people at those moments would do anything in order for their loved ones to be happy.I can understand why her father did this but if I were him I would not have done this because I would want her to keep living.


b. : " his daughter had expressed a preference for dying over being kept alive artificially." Here it explains that the daughter didn't want the feeding tubes and preferred to die if that was what was going to happen. I guess she had a belief or didn't think that was the right way of living. Even though I don't think she should have done this to herself. She knew the consequences to it .


c. : I disagree with what the father did. If the girl wasn't suffering then why end her life. It only caused pain for him. Even though it was her wish they should have thought it out more. I can relate to this because my mom also wishes to not to be kept alive by machines or artificially. Even though I have argued with my mom even though I hope the day doesn't come I wouldn't be able to. I don't know how this father could have done that knowing there was going to be a consequence. If I were putting myself in her shoes i would have wanted the same thing but if I were in her fathers shoes i wouldn't do it.

3. Man kills Family after losing his job
a. :

• The father must have had in many debts and thought there was going to be no way of paying them.
• The father and mother must not want to leave their children to suffer and thought it would be best to kill them as well.

• He was probably annoyed with himself and thought that it would have been easier to kill his family and himself to escape all the pressure he had.

b. : You don't need money to succeed all you need is support but unfortunately our economy is no good and you need money. The family could have applied for welfare as well if they needed the money that bad. There are also places that feed you and give you a place to sleep and shower. Life is hard but there are many places with people that will help you with about anything you need. I don't see why this man and possibly the women decided to take their lives away along with their innocent children who had no fault to it. The parents didn't need to have all the money in the world and their kids don't need everything of course parents wish they can give their kids everything they want. All the child need is love an support; to know that they are loved and everything is going to be okay.

Roger

I chose james from twilight to be roger because he doesnt care for anybody he only knows he enjoys hunting and drinking peoples blood. But its not the blood eating that makes him like roger its the fact that he hunts and kills. jack killed piggy practically for no reason and didnt care. he didnt think that what he was doing was wrong. he had no reason to do that to piggy. And james was going to kill bella for no apparent reason at all!

Simon

I chose ron to be simon because just like simon he is very scared all of the time. Also he is timid. Ron is always scared about doing things and always thinks everything is dangerous even though he is right most of the time he doesnt have much courage.

Piggy

I chose harry potters cousin dougly to represent piggy not because of the way he is towards harry but because of the way hes treated. most people only see him as a very young fat kid. And his parents treat him like a little boy. His dad makes him feel like he cant do anything and that he is stupid and thats the way most people make him feel.

Jack

I chose rachel mcadams to play the role of jack because in the movie mean girls she is very bosy. she always wants to have things her way and when she wants them. She also thinks shes better than everyone just like jack. In the movie she thinks that anyone will do whatever she wants and jack also thinks people will do what he wants.
